Fourth District Seniors Resource Center (FDSRC), Single Widowed Adult Group (SWAG), and “Jeanette The History Lady” are planning a trip to the National Museum of African American History and Culture in Washington, DC. If you are interested in going on this trip, please come to the next planning meeting at the Center on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at 4 pm.

Are you experiencing a loss (i.e. spouse, significant other, soul mate)?  Are you interested in forming new or rekindling old friendships?  Are you just tired of the same old routine and would like to form a new circle of friends and enjoy life? If so, you are invited to join a kindred group of friends.

Come and help us plan shared events of fun times, self-improvement, networking or whatever may be on your bucket list of things you don’t want to do alone.

FDSRC’s Glide ‘n’ Stride Walkers

FDSRC’s Glide ‘n’ Stride Walkers meet regularly at the Fourth District Seniors Resource Center. The group is part of the UCSD Walking Program at the Center. We meet every week on Mondays and Wednesdays from 11:00 am to 12 noon in the Charles L Lewis III Assembly Room. Activities include indoor and outdoor events.

The Fourth District Seniors Resource Center proudly presents its 11th annual Juneteenth Celebration and Resource Fair on Monday, June 19, 2017 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm at the George L. Stevens Senior Center, 570 S. 65th Street (off Skyline Drive), San Diego, CA 92114. Donation of $12.00 per person includes a choice of 2 meats with your tasty meal. RSVP is a must!! Please phone (619) 266-2066 by Monday, June 12 to reserve your spot. There will be health screenings, information and resource table displays, and a raffle. All net proceeds benefit the Fourth District Seniors Resource Center. FDSRC Glide ‘n’ Stride Walkers had an all-day “Spring Eggstravaganza Fundraiser” on Wednesday, April 12, 2017. A donation of $20 included free play with a bonus of $5 more if your birthday is in April. Seating on the bus to Golden Acorn Casino was limited and filled up quickly. Everyone who went had an “Egg-stremely” good time! If you missed it this time, there will be more. Be sure to drop by the Center to pick up fliers about upcoming events.
