What information do we collect? How do we use it?
When you make a purchase or donation via our PayPal button, we need to know your name, e-mail address, mailing address, credit card number, and expiration date. This allows us to process and confirm your payment information. When you contact us through our website, your name and email address will be stored as part of our database. This allows us to respond to your inquiries. We may include your name and email in our opt-in newsletter database in the future. We keep your personal information in strictest confidence.
How do we protect your information?
For transactions over the Internet we use a Secure Server for collecting personal and credit card information. The secure socket layer (SSL) encrypts (scrambles) all of the information you enter before it is transmitted over the internet and sent to us. Furthermore, all of the customer data we collect is protected against unauthorized access.
What about “cookies”?
“Cookies” are small pieces of information that are stored by your browser on your computer’s hard drive. We do not use cookies to collect or store any information about visitors.
Will we disclose the information we collect to outside parties?
We do not sell, trade, rent or give your personal information to others. We may release account information when we believe, in good faith, that such release is reasonably necessary to (i) comply with law or (ii) protect the rights, property or safety of Fourth District Seniors Resource Center, our visitors, participants, clients, donors or others.
